Military spouse here. With a population of 5,021, Ellisburg is a small town. Homes are going for about $294,300 on average. Poverty rate is 11.0%, which is around average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Is this normal for Ellisburg? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Moved here from LA about 5 years ago. it's not perfect but it works for me. Still getting used to nightlife but Good luck with whatever you decide..
