Is Elm Grove still affordable?

Anyone else feel this way? We're a young couple and Rent is about $1,788/month for a decent place. Median household income is $133,304, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a small town city with about 6,428 people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Pros:
- Close to nature
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Sprawl everywhere
- Limited cultural events
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Not enough green space
Am I overthinking this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
