Elmhurst is underrated, change my mind

OK so I'm a 48-year-old firefighter and With a population of 45,538, Elmhurst is a smaller city. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What do you all think? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Greenfield. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in finance. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I work in healthcare here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is solid. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Denver it's excellent.
