I've been here for 12 years and Homes are going for about $88,200 on average. Median household income is $43,089, which feels on the lower side for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Any advice would be great. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely better than expected and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Highland) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
