Job market in Elmira for tech?

Random thought, I'm a 27-year-old project manager and The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,349 people. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What are your go-to spots? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 6 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
