Moved here from Minneapolis about 2 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to healthcare but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Maple Ridge area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The healthcare is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Tampa about 5 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
