Is Elmont good for remote workers?

Random thought, I'm retired and It's a a smaller city city with about 36,436 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thanks in advance!

I work in real estate here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is average. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Moved here from Tampa about 1 years ago. it was the best decision I ever made. Still getting used to public transit but It's not for everyone but it works for us..
