Things Elmsford needs to improve

First post here. Just moved here 8 months ago and Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $116,779, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $568,000, which is pretty steep. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Good schools
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons:
- Limited nightlife
- High property taxes
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Not enough green space
Is this normal for Elmsford? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 11 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
