Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a college student here and The unemployment rate is 1.3%, which is pretty low. With a population of 11,325, Elon is a small town. Poverty rate is 4.6%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Thanks for reading. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to.
