Is public transit usable in Elon?

Been meaning to ask this. I've been here for 16 years and You can expect to pay around $1,584 for rent here. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a small town city with about 11,325 people. With a population of 11,325, Elon is a small town. Rent is about $1,584/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I've lived in Riverside for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The community vibe scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
