OK so I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $82,717 in Elon. Crime rate is something to consider -Elon sits at 65.5 per 100K. Poverty rate is 4.6%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Worth the trade-offs? The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
