Best companies to work for in Elroy?

So, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $120,500, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $920/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Elroy sits at 899.1 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'm a teacher and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Dallas about 4 years ago. The main reasons were family and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Diverse dining options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is improving.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
