So, I relocated for work and Rent is about $859/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 52,833 people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Let me know your thoughts. Looking forward to hearing from you all. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in South area are average. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely challenging and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.
