Hi all, I'm a 23-year-old pharmacist and Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. With a population of 24,098, Emporia is a small town. The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Worth the trade-offs? Thanks for reading. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
