Anyone else love living in Encinitas?
So, I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Meadowbrook. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in consulting. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like BBQ.
Definitely worth checking out..
