Best neighborhoods to rent in Encinitas?

I'm single, late 20s, and The median home value here is around $1,466,000, which is pretty steep. Median household income is $150,471, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a smaller city city with about 61,585 people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Low taxes
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Not enough green space
Am I overthinking this? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
