Relocating to Encinitas, CA -pros and cons?

Hey everyone, With a population of 61,585, Encinitas is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Any advice would be great.

Came here for school and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The public transit is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 15 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
