So, We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Enfield sits at 109.6 per 100K. With a population of 1,917, Enfield is a small town. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- The walkability scene is decent
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Charlotte it's pretty good.
