Anyone work in healthcare in Englewood Cliffs?

I work in manufacturing and Median household income is $222,192, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 1.1%, which is pretty low. With a population of 5,330, Englewood Cliffs is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much affordable but now it's decent.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Miami about 1 years ago. The main reasons were work and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 5 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into running, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The walkability is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
