Freelancing from Englewood Cliffs -experience?

OK so Homes are going for about $1,232,700 on average. Household incomes average around $222,192 in Englewood Cliffs. Crime rate is something to consider -Englewood Cliffs sits at 18.6 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What do you all think? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The safety is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely average and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Midtown) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely challenging and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (North) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.
