How is Englewood for outdoor activities?

It's a a smaller city city with about 33,774 people. Homes are going for about $534,000 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much wild but now it's decent.

Bought a house here in 2018 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- The dating scene scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Denver about 8 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.

Came here for school and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The food scene is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Fairview for 1 years. Moved from Minneapolis for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
legal is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Bugs and humidity in summer. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 5/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 5 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Diverse dining options
- The traffic scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
