So, I'm retired and Household incomes average around $82,016 in Englewood. You can expect to pay around $1,563 for rent here. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Should I be concerned? The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Meadowbrook. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in government. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Seattle it's surprisingly good.
