Is Englewood good for remote workers?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. You can expect to pay around $1,925 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks in advance! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 6 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is tough.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The safety scene is average

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Old Town. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
