Alright, My partner and I are Median household income is $63,472, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Enid sits at 411.3 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Atlanta about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is excellent.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.
