Worst things about Enid nobody talks about

First post here. I'm a teacher here and Crime rate is something to consider -Enid sits at 411.3 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 50,821 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 10 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'm a physical therapist and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Moved here from Denver about 9 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
