Enterprise quality of life -am I missing something?
Longtime lurker here, Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 14.5%, which is around average. The median home value here is around $198,500, which is actually reasonable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Bought a house here in 2022 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely hit or miss and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is solid in most areas.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely underrated and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (East) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.
