Rent in Enterprise getting crazy

Hello, We're a young couple and Rent is about $1,823/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,823 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider — Enterprise sits at 164.9 per 100K. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Thanks! Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Came here for weather and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The dating scene is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 6 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
