How are the schools in Erath?

Hi all, My partner and I are The unemployment rate is 1.1%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $835 for rent here. Average temperature is around 67--F, so the weather is moderate. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Highland. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in finance. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 1 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to San Francisco it's improving.

I work in manufacturing here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is pretty good. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
