Weekend activities in Erie?

Curious what people think. I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 19.6%, which is higher than I expected. Homes are going for about $108,200 on average. The city has invested a lot in new development. Should I be concerned? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The cultural scene is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..
