What Erie does better than anywhere else

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 19.6%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $43,397 in Erie. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $108,200 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Close to nature
- Diverse community
- Low taxes
- Easy commute

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Sprawl everywhere
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Boring for young people
Thoughts? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
