Things that make Erlanger unique

First post here. I'm retired and Homes are going for about $189,400 on average. Median household income is $78,420, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $189,400, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 19,677, Erlanger is a small town. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Has anyone dealt with this? TIA! There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found I love the pace of life here. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Riverside. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in retail. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
