Erwin in the winter -how bad?

First post here. My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 4,617, Erwin is a small town. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
