Hey everyone, I'm single, late 50s, and Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $47,664 in Espa--ola. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I work in marketing here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is underrated. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from Phoenix about 12 years ago. The main reasons were work and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are affordable, gas is tough.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.
