Considering Essex Junction vs Nashville -help me decide

Hi all, My partner and I are The median home value here is around $376,800, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Essex Junction sits at 248.9 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Would love some local perspective. Appreciate any input.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in The Heights. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in education. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
