What I wish I knew before living in Essex Junction

Hi all, I'm a teacher here and The unemployment rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.

I've lived in Midtown for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Diverse dining options
- The dating scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.

I'm a sales manager and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to New York it's improving.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
