Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $199,300, which is actually reasonable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Anyone in a similar situation? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Bought a house here in 2021 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much competitive but now it's decent.

I've lived in The Heights for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Lots of new development happening
- The pet-friendliness scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
