Housing market in Estero right now

Random thought, We have two kids and Rent is about $1,917/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 9 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
