Poverty rate is 14.8%, which is around average. You can expect to pay around $984 for rent here. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Eastside. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Italian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
