I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Close to major attractions
- The school system scene is tough

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've lived in South for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Affordable housing options
- The cost of living scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 15 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
