What I wish I knew before living in Eugene

Longtime lurker here, With a population of 178K, Eugene is a mid-size city. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I work in tech here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is excellent. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
