Biggest downsides of living in Euless?

We're a young couple and Rent is about $1,606/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

I've lived in Lakewood for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community
- The community vibe scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is average. Tons of great Thai places. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Highland for 1 years. Moved from Portland for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
hospitality is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is decent - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Highland schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Homeless population growing downtown. Limited entertainment options. And job market can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 6/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The walkability is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
