Anyone else feel this way? Been living here since 2010. You can expect to pay around $841 for rent here. Rent is about $841/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 11,803 people. Household incomes average around $76,569 in Evanston. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
