Considering Evansville vs San Francisco -help me decide

Hello, I'm originally from Cincinnati and Median household income is $52,251, which feels on the lower side for the area. Rent is about $949/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 13.1%, which is around average. You can expect to pay around $949 for rent here. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Four distinct seasons
- The traffic scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
