Homes are going for about $255,700 on average. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Would love some local perspective. Thanks for reading.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 10 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
