Ewa Beach quality of life -am I missing something?

So, My partner and I are It's a a small town city with about 15,388 people. Rent is about $2,554/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $698,200 on average. The median home value here is around $698,200, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Good schools
- Diverse community
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Lack of diversity
- Far from major airports
Thoughts? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Greenfield area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 3 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely pretty good and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Downtown) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
