Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 8 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is decent.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Hope this helps!.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..
