Housing market in Ewa Beach right now

Just moved here 8 months ago and Rent is about $2,554/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots?

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 3 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into running, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much affordable but now it's challenging.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a electrician, 49, moved here 9 years ago from Baltimore. I've lived in Downtown and Highland, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Decent public transit for the size
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Summers can be brutally hot
3. The housing market situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Downtown: Great for remote workers. underrated vibes, walkable.
- Highland: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Baltimore, everything felt better than expected. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are affordable. Gas is established. You can live comfortably on $100K-$70K here.

**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Moved here from San Diego about 7 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to weather but Would recommend to anyone considering it..
