Best restaurants in Ewa Gentry?

Alright, I'm single, late 50s, and Rent is about $2,517/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. What would you do? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've lived in Midtown for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights
- The public transit scene is tough

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 10 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 5 years ago. The main reasons were work and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Springfield for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- The walkability scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a electrician, 50, moved here 13 years ago from Seattle. I've lived in Midtown and North, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Friendly community, easy to meet people
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Summers can be brutally hot
2. Nightlife is limited
3. The dating scene situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Midtown: Great for families. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- North: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Seattle, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $40K-$110K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Baltimore about 15 years ago. The main reasons were family and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2017 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone about the same since then.
