Biggest downsides of living in Excelsior Springs?

So, The median home value here is around $174,000, which is actually reasonable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Has anyone dealt with this? The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.
