Moving to Excelsior Springs for work -advice?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a remote worker and The median home value here is around $174,000, which is actually reasonable. Household incomes average around $74,056 in Excelsior Springs. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thoughts?

I work in hospitality here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is surprisingly good. No regrets on my end..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The community vibe is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
